If you follow me on Twitter, you will know I have recently picked Destiny up again, after over five months away from it. Today I thought I would take a look at the game as a whole, and see how it has fared through these last nine and half months since its launch. I won't go over the massive mistakes that Bungie made with the implementation of The Dark Below(or TDB) DLC, as many of these mistakes have now been corrected. I got rid of the game, less than a month after the launch of TDB, and at the time I was only a level 28, with no close hope of reaching higher levels. However due to the new light levels on armour, I was able to get from 28 to 32 with in about 4-5 hours of picking up the game again(this was largely due to farming vanguard marks, of which I had none when I picked the game up again). With the current level cap being 34, I am in the same position now(2 levels below the cap), as I was when I left the game, before TDB.
The are only two issues which still plague this game, two of which I highly doubt will ever be fixed. Firstly, there is still not enough matchmaking. I take great advantage of Destiny LFG(Which you should definitely check out), and thus I do Raids on a regular basis, be it the Vault of Glass, Crotas End or the Prison of Elders(run down of this soon). The fact that Bungie doubtlessly know about this site, and still think that matchmaking for the Raids isn't what the game is about, baffles me to no end. While we are talking about matchmaking, what do you think?
The next issue, is the damage Assault Rifles do; which is incredibly low. Unless you are using the correct elemental damage type when a burn is active, ARs are totally useless! This is easy to fix, as it simply needs a patch to be pushed out from Bungie.
Those two negetives aside, I am loving being back in Destiny, the grind for loot is still a love/hate relationship, and the RNG in the game does grate with me sometimes. On the whole though, this is a game that is just really fun to play! The constant need for materials(unless you put hundreds of hours in), and the prospect of new rare weapons that may or may not be around the corner, will keep me coming back to Destiny for many months to come. Even when the game might be getting a little old, the game will then be refreshed with the massive expansion, The Taken King, which looks to include a lot of content, and also new ways to play the game with the new sub classes!
Whether it be looting the chest from the Prison of Elders, hoping for a good reward from the Nightfall or attempting to crush enemies in the crucible. I feel that both Destiny as a game, and also the community surrounding Destiny is at its best levels since the game launched, and I can't wait to see where the game will expand!

Thanks as always for reading,
I know content on my site has been very E3 based recently, so I hope you aren't getting fed up with it, I know I'm not! Today I thought that I would take a bit more of a subjective look at E3 2015. Specifically the games that we will see and if I am looking forward to seeing new content from them!
This is a game from Gearbox(the legends behind Borderlands), and it first came on my radar a few months ago, when I wanted to find out what they were working on next. At the time the look of the game impressed me, but in the last week a new trailer has been released which shows off the game very nicely, which you can check out below! This game looks incredibly exciting, with a new take on the standard FPS. There are over 20 different classes to chose from(26 I believe but don't quote me!) each of which appears to have incredibly different combat talents. Any game from the makers of Borderlands will have my full attention, but this game does more than that. It genuinely has my whole hearted attention, I expect this to be my personal game of E3 2015.
Battleborn is scheduled for release in "Winter 2015".
Up next we have Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain. This is one of very few games that we will doubtlessly see at E3 this year that I am not excited about. Or at least its appearance at E3 would need to do a lot to get my interested in the game, I have never played a Metal Gear game before(apart from Ground Zeroes which I don't understand). Thus my interest in this game in minimal, I need to be convinced that despite the fact that I haven't played previous MGS games, I will still understand Phantom Pain. Plus the fact that I only like stealth games in theory, in practice I just get bored and go for a more outlandish approach to the issue! The only part of this game which does interest me is the online side of it, though we don't have many details for this side of the game!
Metal Gear Solid V The Phantom Pain will be available September 1st worldwide!
Fallout 4; one of the most famous games for never being released or announced... Was recently announced, Bethesda(makers of Elder Scrolls, Fallout and more) released the new trailer below to 90,000 via Twitch, I was amongst those people, and I fell in love with it straight away. Similarly to the Metal Gear series, I have never played a previous Fallout game, but unlike MGS this Fallout 4 trailer felt open to anyone. Despite the fact that there wasn't any actual gameplay show, Bethesda are hosting their own E3 conference this year for the first time ever, and have already promised more details about this game. There have already been leaks(including from Bethesda's website) which indicate Fallout 4 will be released later this very year! There are few things Bethesda could announce during their conference that would surprise me, but a 2015 release date would do just that!
Fallout 4 doesn't have a release date confirmed yet, but late 2015 is rumoured!
Assassin's Creed Syndicate, the next instalment in the unfortunately annualised series. I would like to say at this stage that the Assassin's Creed series is one of my favourite of all time, and I have played all major instalments(apart from Rogue). However Syndicate holds no interest for me, the additions to the series don't interest me, and the gameplay that was released seemed to me to reek of... Assassin's Creed, I know that may sound stupid, but the series needs to take a few years off, and come back with an amazing game. Syndicate boasts the new bear knuckle fighting, which seems like a waste of time when we are used to the fast fights with swords or guns, the new grapple hook seems to me to detract from the beauty of the world of AC. I have always loved the unique traversal methods that AC games boast, but the grapple seems to take this away. It goes without saying that Assassin's Creed Syndiate will be making a sizeable appearance during Ubisoft's conference, and probably one of the two console conferences!
Assassin's Creed Syndicate will be released worldwide October 23rd
Destiny. A very controversial game, some people love it and play it for hundreds of hours, and some people can't stand it. Think of it as the Marmite of the gaming world! I don't know which of those groups I reside in, but that is a post for another day. Bungie have been teasing that people will want to tune in to their appearance at E3 this year. This would tally with a major leak the occurred earlier in the year, which said that Bungie would be releasing a major expansion for Destiny later this year, at the time it was codenamed Comet. Fast forward a few months and Destiny The Taken King was trademarked by Bungie, along with a logo. It would appear that Comet has grown its wings and transformed into The Taken King. It is said that this expansion will nearly be as big as the base game, apparently having nearly as many new strikes as the original game and many new story missions to work though. Apparently there will be new areas to explore as well, it is unclear whether these will be new planets or tag on locations to the existing planets. Either way, Bungie should be a developer to keep your eye on during E3 this year!
The Taken King hasn't even been announced yet, but if rumours are to be believed a September of October release date should be expected!
That is me guys, I hope you have enjoyed reading my thoughts on some of the games that will doubtlessly headline this E3. Don't forget that E3 is so special because it brings the unknown, some previous announcements have turned out to be some of the best gaming experiences out there. So keep an open mind to new and possibly indie games announced at E3, and most importantly enjoy it, E3 is a once a year event, where gamers come together and celebrate gaming, no matter their console preference.
The spotlight is on gaming, I know we will be impressed, do you?
Thanks for reading as always,
You may remember recently that I spoke about some of the games we would be seeing at E3 this year. Today I am back to talk to you all about some games that we possibly won't be seeing at E3, some of these games haven't even been confirmed as being in production, however I thought they were worth a mention on this list. I would like to say that this list is rather large, and I thus won't be going into a lot of detail on each individual game!
So first up we have inFamous 3/inFamous Second Sons 2. It is entirely possible that if we are going to get our hands on another inFamous game it will be announced at Sony's conference this year. I won't be released until probably late 2017 maybe early 2018(assuming it will be delayed a few months), but there is a fair chance it will be announced this year. Probably just with a teaser trailer which is less that a minute long, and simply confirms which protagonist we will be playing as. There then might be more information at Playstation Experience next year!
Next we have Gran Turismo 7, this is almost a sure fire bet to be announced, if I had to put money on it I would say it will be released in Apri 2016. It obviously won't have a last gen version released. Expect to see a montage of the cars and tracks that will be featured in the game, and some kind of look at the car customisation!
Moving on we have God of War, obviously we have the remastered version of God of War III being released soon. However it is still possible that a new GoW will be announced, if there is such an announcement it is possible that there will be a demo for the next GoW included in the GoW III remastered edition!
Then we have No Man's Sky, which we have known about for a very long time at this stage, but still are no closer to a release date for this procedurally generated space exploration game. Will we get our hands on this elusive piece of informations? We will have to wait and see!
Then we have a possible Killzone announcement, this is possible though unlikely as there is still quite a lot of support from the developers for Shadow Fall. Who knows though, if it is announced, by the time it will be released it will have been about 3 years since Shadow Fall was released!
The next two on my list are the GTA V and Bloodborne DLCs, the latter of which has been confirmed as in production, and the former being more a matter of when not iff. The Bloodborne DLC should be talked about during Sony's conference, but your guess is as good as mine if/where the GTA V DLC will be announced.
That Game Company(the team behind Flower and Journey amongst others) may well announce a new game this year, the sky is the limit with the creative talent at that studio. So there is no telling what form their next game will take. There is a good chance it will be a Playstation exclusive thought!
Battlefield 5 will possible make an appearer during this years slew of conferences. It is possible EA will go down Ubisofts path way, and announce the game with a fairly brief trailer then give us gameplay at either Microsoft or Sony's main conferences!
There have been a few rumours in the last few months that a sequel the the acclaimed Ni No Kuni is in production. Thus it isn't beyond the realm of belief that this sequel will be announced during Sony's conference! I never managed to play the first, however I would be very excited to get my hands on any sequel that might be made!
We haven't heard anything from the team at Crytek, the makers of the Crysis series. It is possible that we will get our hands on the first bits of information for Crysis 4. It would be the first Crysis game to make the leap to the new generation of hard ware, and seeing as Crysis 3 looked stunning on the PS3, its sequel could look amazing!
There hasn't been a peep out of the Prince of Persia gaming franchise for many years now. So it is possible that Ubisoft will be bringing this one out of its draw to wow the crowds at their E3 conference. If it is announced, expect it to take the form of a revival for the series, and thus start from the beginning of the tale for the series.
I know this post has been quite long, so I will save the remaining few games on my list for another day, though all of these are speculative and could very possibly not even be mentioned at any of the conferences. Whilst I am on the subject of the conferences themselves, due to there being so many this year(With Microsoft, Sony, Ubisoft, EA, Square Enix, Bethesda and Nintendo) each individual conference may not be quite as crammed with amazing announcements as we are typically used to. Rather all of these announcements will be spread across all seven major conferences!
That being said I hope we get some stunning announcements this year, and I can't wait to see what they are. If you have any ideas what games might be shown off/announced at E3 this year, be sure to leave them in the comments section! That is my time for today, as always I would like to thank you all for reading,
